A few things need to be said about this list right up front.
Yes, it looks big. But, not everything will be necessary at each training session. However, it
would be a good idea to bring some of the unnecessary items just in case. This is a list of
"Things you should have", not "Things to bring with you to training".For instance, it might say
"3 sets of BDU's". Well, chances are you'll only need one, maybe two if it's hot out and you'll
be sweating a lot, or it's incredibly muddy and you don't want to drive home in muddy
clothes.
Don't think that you have to have all this stuff right now, today, or that you need it all before
you start training. We've seen people show up in jeans and a T-shirt. The important thing is
that they were out training. THAT is the most important thing. Everything on this list is just
stuff. It doesn't mean that you're prepared for unusual situations, only that you have stuff.
Skills and mindset are what prepares you for unusual situations. The stuff can be acquired
as it becomes possible to do so.
